CROCKS ROCK RACE (Barkly East to Rhodes)
Hiking, mountain biking and river rafting fun for all ages and levels of fitness at the annual Mosheshesford Crocs Race.
EASTER
PASSION PLAY (Lady Grey)
A cast of 132 speaking characters as well as a chorus, choir, troupe of dancers and live visual artists, and is presented over a period of three days during the Easter Weekend. Parts of the play are staged around the town: in the streets, at the scenic Lady Grey dam and at the historic NG Kerk.

RIDE TO RHODES
A gruelling 550km MTB ride from Pietermaritzburg to Rhodes Village, this marathon event The Ride to Rhodes also the first stage of the Freedom Challenge.

LADY GREY MACNAB
A hunting and shooting competition with a difference! The challenge is to bag a buck, shoot a partridge and catch a wild trout during one day. The Scottish evening party complete with bagpipes and optional haggis is not to be missed! More about the Lady Grey Macnab
JULY
RHODES TRAIL RUN
The Rhodes Run, South Africa’s coldest premier trail race is staged in the tranquil beauty of the Eastern Cape Drakensberg mountains surrounding the Victorian-era hamlet of Rhodes. This event is limited to 300 runners and is often held in sub-zero temperatures with snow on the 52km route.More about the Rhodes Trail Run
JULY
LADY GREY AGRICULTURAL SHOW
Livestock, paintball, food and craft stalls, steak meal, clay pgeon shooting, puppet show, women’s programme, bicycle race, extreme bike and quad off road fun rally. Live music.
SEPTEMBER
LAMMERGEIER HALF MARATHON (Lady Grey)
A 21km race that sees participants ascending 1000m to the Microwave Tower above Lady Grey, and then taking in the spectacular views as they descend Joubert’s Pass.
NOVEMBER
SKYRUN (Lady Grey)
Extreme 100km endurance run from Lady Grey to Wartrail Country Club. Rated as ‘South Africa’s ultimate endurance race’ the 120 km mountain wilderness, ultra marathon traverses over the top of the Witteberge/Drakensberg, ending at the Wartrail Sports Club. The wilderness nature of the run has been preserved by keeping off roads.
DECEMBER
Frank Isted Tennis Tournament
A round robin tournament pairing novice players with experienced partners. Much fun and hilarity for the participants & spectators alike!

Cave Carols by Candlelight
a special evening in the beautiful Mountain View shearing shed – bring along your own candles, head torches, picnic blankets & snacks for after.
