LADY GREY
Beautifully set in a valley against the backdrop of mountains, many trees, a number of interesting historic buildings and more gravel than tarred streets, Lady Grey is the jewel in the crown, one of the most scenic towns, in the Eastern Cape. A number of interesting and remarkable people featured in the history of Lady Grey, such as Rev. David Ross, a great leader during the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.
The historic buildings in Lady Grey include the beautiful sandstone church which is a national monument. When considering the size of the community, one is amazed at the diverse skill set and wide variety of services and products offered that caters for almost every need.


STERKSPRUIT
Surrounded by the Drakensberg mountains of the Eastern Cape, Sterkspruit is a small scenic rural town consisting of many tribal villages. These villages offer a fascinating multi-cultural diversity. Winding down to Telle Bridge, border to Lesotho, there is a turn to where the largest dinosaur graveyard was discovered at one of the villages, Qhemegha. This has brought both local and international tourists to the area. Beautiful caves with rock art paintings, war graves and battle sites are also found in the area. RHODES
This Victorian-era Village, declared a conservation area in 1997, is surrounded by pristine rivers and a magnificent mountain range.

BARKLY EAST
Nestled between the picturesque mountains of the Southern Drakensberg, between Lady Grey and Elliot in the North Eastern Cape, this small town has a lot to offer the passing tourist or holiday-maker.
Barkly East is named after Sir Henry Barkly, Governor of the Cape Colony from 1870 to 1877 and is a small village located on the banks of the Cacadu River. The village is one of the highest in South Africa, at 1777m above sea level. All types of accommodation are available in town and the surrounding farms, from camping and self-catering cottages to en-suite fully-catered guest houses. A variety of caves contain rock paintings by the San that date back hundreds of years, and visitors interested in San art stay at cottages on local farms.
